TSC Teachers’ Commuter Allowance Rates Per Job Group. Teachers employed by the Teachers service commission earn salaries at the end of every month. In addition to the basic salary, they are also paid commuter allowances. The allowance however varies depending on the job group.
The purpose of the commuter allowance is to aid teacher cover travel expenses to and from school. This is as captured under the 2021-2025 collective bargaining agreement(CBA).
Teachers at the highest job group pocket more commuter allowance than those in the lower job cadre (B5).
