TSC Deputy Principal Promotion Guide. Teachers are promoted to Deputy Principal grades by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) under unique promotion criteria.
These grades include Deputy Principal III (T-Scale 11), Deputy Principal II (T-Scale 12), and Deputy Principal (T-Scale 13).
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL III TSC PROMOTIONS CRITERIA, T-SCALE 11.
Teachers appointed to these roles do so through promotion; in secondary schools, this is also the entrance level for Deputy Principals.
According to TSC, the Deputy principle III will answer to the institution’s principle and assist them in creating and carrying out lesson plans, developing policies and programs, and creating other curriculum-related activities.
Promotion of teachers to this grade will be competitive; therefore, it will depend on the availability of openings within the organization.
The primary conditions for teachers to be appointed to this grade are that they must have been Senior Master III T-Scale 10 for a minimum of three (3) years and have an acceptable rating from the performance review procedure.
Criteria for TSC Promotions to Deputy Principal II, T-SCALE 12.
For Deputy Principals at secondary schools who are expected to report to the principle, this rank constitutes a promotion.
This is an order from the commission for these administrators to assist the school principal in creating and implementing instructional initiatives.

Furthermore, these educators must create regulations, different programs, and curriculum-based activities. Promotion of teachers to grade levels will be competitive and contingent upon the employer’s announcement of open positions.
Major Prerequisites Needed.
One of the main prerequisites is that the teacher must have held the position of Senior Master II T-Scale 11 or Deputy Principal III for a minimum of three (3) years.
Another need is that the instructor must provide proof of a satisfactory rating from the performance appraisal process.
DEPUTY PRINCIPAL I TSC PROMOTION CRITERIA, T-SCALE 13.
TSC states that this scale is a promotional grade for secondary school deputy principals who are expected to answer to the principal.
TSC also mandates that these newly hired administrators assist the institution’s principal in creating and implementing school strategies.
These administrators are also in charge of creating curriculum activities, various initiatives, and school policies.
Keep in mind that teacher promotions to this grade will be competitive and dependent on the employer’s availability of openings in the organization.
One must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and have served as Senior Master I or Deputy Principal II T-Scale 12 for a minimum of three (3) years in order to be eligible for promotions to these positions.
Additional general criteria for the three positions mentioned above It is also expected of these deputies to have completed the necessary TPD modules satisfactorily and received a satisfactory rating in the performance review procedure.
These administrators should also be in possession of a current Teaching Certificate, be able to comply with the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution, and meet any other conditions that the Commission deems essential.
