TSC Salary Structure For C2 Teachers After Phase 1 Increment. A CBA was signed that subjected teachers to a salary increment. Teachers across various job groups enjoyed increased salaries. The phase 1 implementation is set to end on July 1st 2024. Thereafter phase 2 will start immediately.
C2 teachers are also referred to as Secondary Teachers II. Other categories of teachers under this grade are Lecturer II and Special needs teacher( Primary/ senior teacher II).
Mostly , C2 is the entry level for all graduate teachers. All teachers serving under this grade will realize an increment of ksh. 4164 on their basic salary. This is in regards to the signed collective bargaining agreement.
On the other hand, grade C3 tutors have a salary payrise of sh. 5141 . Grade D5 will see an increment of sh 4883.
The phase 1 salary increment has been a huge morale booster among the teachers. It has made them have great financial prospects and do their job with passion.

Grade C2 teachers under salary point 1 will now be pocketing a monthly basic salary of ksh. 36, 621. After every year, the basic salary is adjusted upwards automatically.
The changes in basic salary depicts the government’s commitment to fostering the education sector. In addition, it shows the government’s dedication in ensuring the well being of teachers.

Other than the basic salaries listed above, these teachers also enjoy a number of allowances. These allowances help them a great deal in their day to day activities.
For educators working in hardship regions, their pay is slightly higher. Those at grade C2 T scale 7 enjoy a hardship allowance of ksh. 10900 monthly.
In addition to that, they also pocket a monthly commuter allowance of ksh. 5000. This money is meant for commuting to and from places of work.
Additionally, there is also an annual leave allowance of ksh 6000 that is paid once every January of each year
Those living with disabilities also get a disability guide allowance of ksh. 20,000 shillings every month.
