Categories Of TSC Teachers To Get Promotion Letters. The Teachers serving commission plans to do teacher promotions very soon. This is following an outcry from teachers over the manner in which promotions were done. Teachers aged 50 years and above, and have stagnated in one job group will be given the first priority. In addition, those with a proven disability and the acting HOI and deputy HoI will be promoted.
The aforementioned three categories of teachers will be the biggest beneficiaries. Once promotions will be announced, these teachers will be encouraged to apply for direct consideration. The exact time for conducting the upcoming promotions has however not been made public by TSC.
A close source from the commission indicate these teachers wil get appointment letters ahead of the rest of the teachers.
Categories Of TSC Teachers To Get Promotion Letters
Once these teachers will be awarded the promotions, Human resource managers will act decisively and print their promotion letters without delay. Thereafter, the letters will be dispatched to them indicating their new stations.
Normally, when the promotion exercise starts, the commission works around the clock to make sure the exercise ends faster.
DEPLOYMENT OF P1 TO JSS
At the moment, the commission is in the final stages of finalising on the deployment of P1 teachers to JSS. The commission advertised 6,000 deployment slots for qualified P1 teachers to be deployed to JSS.
The qualified teachers made applications till 18th March 2024. Thereafter the commission closed the application portal and started document verification. Normally document verification takes time and is thorough to ensure nobody is promoted illegally with fake documents.
It is expected that before the end of this month, all the qualified and deployed teachers will be notified. Thereafter, they will receive promotion letters for their deployment to JSS. The unsuccessful ones will also get regret letters.
Normally deployed teachers in JSS with degrees start at job group C2. Thereafter, after three years, they are automatically promoted to job group C3.
